I have updated to windows 10 and since then have lost use of my dymo printer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but it continues toload in unspecified devices rather than in the printer file. Anyone know how I can add this as a printer. Following the Microsoft add a printer is not working.
I have not only consulted the installation procedures of the Dymo unit, and completely uninstalled and reinstalled the new software, I have worked with Dymo personnel with remote setup and they were unable to resolve the problem Microsoft 10 has caused. Hi Mark, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I understand the inconvenience caused, I will be glad to assist you with this. To better assist you, do let us know what exactly you mean by, 'load in unspecific devices'. To make sure the printer is installed correctly, I would suggest you to refer the printer user guide given in Dymo's official website in the link below and follow the steps provided to set up the printer. Let us know the result.
I will take it a step further, I had the tech people at Dymo try numerous times with remote access and they even sent a replacement printer in case it was the printer. Definitely Windows 10. Still looking for a solution. Hi Mark, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Still looking for a solution. Regarding unspecified devices, it is not loading in printers location. Then browsing for the Dymo file or going to where it is located and trying to add the printer does not work, either when done by Dymo or me. Windows 10 has rendered my postal printer and label maker useless. It is a nightmare. Generally speaking the Dymo software won't create a real printer 'icon' in the Devices & Printers property page, but rather somehow integrates it into the computer icon along the top row, which you have to access by right-clicking on the computer icon - then I got the accursed 'hourglass' mouse pointer for nearly a minute before it would open-up a menu.
After having worked for 2 days on this I've somehow finally managed to get an actual printer icon for my LabelWriter 450 Turbo but darned if I know how. I just started uninstalling & reinstalling the software, moved the cable to different USB ports (be sure to use an old-style USB 2.0 port if at all possible) and something I really wouldn't recommend, I hacked the registry several times. Don't even think about doing this unless you've got a rock-solid image backup. Anyway, the upshot is that something is drastically wrong with the so-called ' Windows 10' 8.5.3 version of the Dymo software when it won't correctly install on the latest, most updated iteration of Windows 10 (Version 1511, Build 10586.420) without jumping through all those hoops, not to mention potentially damaging your operating system by doing what I did to it; it was more luck than skill that something didn't go drastically wrong. I'm going to point the Fickle Finger of Fate here squarely at Dymo for jacking-around and not addressing these problems in a timely manner; I can guarantee that there're tons more people out there with this problem that either don't know where to go to seek a solution (like here) or have just simply given-up trying to fix it. I'd post more details but I've wasted so much time messing with this that I have to get back to work.
I encourage everybody to chime-in if they happen to hear about a fix for this.
